AG - By type

A healthy community is an active one. Understanding community health starts with understanding its activity.

The incremental Activity Growth - Type breakdown report helps you understand the newly generated volume of this activity - for each period and integration-activity type combination individually, therefore it is great for assessing immediate change and even the impact of seasonality.

As this is an incremental metric, fluctuation of the data is natural, as activity volume is affected by seasonality, events, and public holidays, …

The count of community activities generated only within this bucket is calculated for each date bucket. This is done for each integration-activity type combination, resulting in as many data series as there are integrations x activity types.

How to read this data

Each data point represents the volume of activities generated during a period (week/month/…); each integration-activity type combination gets its own data set. This volume is independent of any previous periods. If the volume is increasing over time for one of the data sets, it means that in each period, more activities were generated from this integration-activity type combination than in the previous one.

Even if the volume is constant over time, it means that your community is active, just that the volume of the activity type is stable across periods (no growth), which is not necessarily a bad thing.

This report is a great addition to the Activity Growth - Integration breakdown report, as it helps you understand which activity type is responsible for the majority of activities for each integration. In other words, you might be able to learn that on Slack, there are much more reactions than messages and that there are much more Slack messages compared to articles created on InSided.
