A healthy community is an active one. Understanding community health starts with understanding its activity.
The incremental Activity Growth - Key phrases report helps you uncover the most common topics mentioned in your community.
Calculation
For each date bucket, we count the occurrence of the top 10 non-dismissed key phrases identified within the filtered activity set.
Date bucket
A date bucket is either day
, week
, month
, quarter
or year
- a time unit used to slice your selected date range.
Non-dismissed key phrases
Key phrases report only works with key phrases you did not mark as dismissed in the suggestions we display in the keywords suggestions. You can always un-dismiss a keyword for it to show up in the key phrase report.
Identified
For more details on how keywords and key phrases are identified, check out this help article.
Filtered activity set
Key phrases are only extracted from the activity set resulting from your filter conditions. In other words, if you select an integration, a date range or a member property as your filter parameters, returned key phrases will be identified only from activities which reflect these parameters.
How to read this data
Each data point represents the count of activities that contain a specific key phrase. This way, you can discover what your community is interested in and how these interests change over time or across member groups (for example, your community might have discussed a new feature last month, while your highly engaged members might have discussed a new token being released last week).
What is a key phrase
Similar to keywords (more about which you can learn from this help article) key phrases are most common topics contained in activities of your community members. While the identification of the key phrase is the same as that of a keyword, the difference is, that we do not track key phrases in our Activity module, while we track keywords you defined or accepted as AI suggestions.
Edge cases
Summing up counts of occurrences of key phrases may ad up to more than the count of activities within a date range, as single activity can contain more than one keyword.
