For each period, the volume of newly joined members is counted.
No churn edge case
In Ahoy, we are combining member data across all community platforms (integrations) a member is part of. Therefore, if a member leaves one (or all) of these platforms, they are still counted as a member in Ahoy, as we are still keeping their data and they might become active via another integration down the line. Because of this, member churn is not affecting New Member growth.
Archiving a member edge case
When archiving a member in Ahoy, we are hiding data of all archived members throughout their history, meaning archiving a member does not cause a dip in the data but rather a decrease over the whole data set.
